Hi there I'm trying to create a regex that would take this:

<AUTHADV>

        <MTID>100</MTID>

        <LOCALDATE>2012-04-02</LOCALDATE>

</AUTHADV>

and catpture

AUTHADV

and all child nodes:

MTID 100

LOCALDATE  2012-04-02

is this easy? or should I be using e4x?

You can probably do it with a few steps.  "easy" is a relative term, keep trying.
