Is there a way to select multiple contours after using "live trace"?

I am using "live trace" "make and expand" command in order to post-process images.

 

This generates multiple path contours. In order to select a path I know that I have to “ungroup” the art object. This allows me to select one path, or even two using the shift key. However I am not able to select more than two paths (as a matter of fact I am trying to select 10 paths).

Is there a solution for selecting more than 2 paths after “live trace”?

    I dont think that there is any such limitation on selection of object after live trace , may be you haven't ungrouped properly ....

     

    1) edit--> select All

     

    2) object-->ungroup

     

    and then check

    If you having difficulties selecting the paths on the canvas try selecting them in the Layers Panel using the shift key as well.

    Selecting them all did not improve the result

     

    In the layers panel I had only one layer, so again not much help.

     

    What I noticed though is that I have to hit "select" on the area inside the path not the contour per se and then all paths get selected.
