I use McAfee Total Protection and have no problems or conflicts.

Thank you for your quick response. i will investigate using McAfee. FYI, i'm kinda glad i have not activated the Norton "bloatware" that came with my OS. Have a great weekend. Doug

At the recommendation of my computer system builder (Puget Systems, a bit expensive but top notch for custom systems) I am using the free Microsoft Security Essentials:

Updates daily, free, unobstrusive. What's not to like?

Have always used Eset 64-bit on my Win7 64-bit PC...No intrusions, or unecessary silly alerts all the time as with some others, and the Virus Bulletin results speak for themselves (virusbtn.com). I compared Eset against all the major contenders, and it passed on all levels, where others dropped a catch here and there.

i have used quite a lot over the years and never had problems.

At different times and on different machines, I've used Norton Antivirus, McAfee, Microsoft Essentials, AVG free antivirus and maybe more. All with LR4 and Win 7 64-bit, as well as earlier versions of LR and earlier versions of Windows. Not encountered any problems relating to Lightroom.

by chance I went into the "Source" the old Radio Shack, and I was able to get the McAfee Total Protection for $50.00 off. I bought it, installed it, and so far, we're good. thanks Again

Curretnly using a Gateway Fx, aka Acer i beleive, and i was able to get the McAfee on sale. $50.00 off regular price. so far so good, we're still "rocketship fast". thanks

you are absolutely correct: question is .... which is not?

My concern was the help info for LR4 indicsated there was soome issues with Norton. i needed to get away from the "bloatware" scenario. was able to acquire "McAfee total protection" and so far so good. thanks

Thanks Dave, very helpful response. i guess i should of waited a day for the emails to come in. i was able to get a sale on McAfee. bough it, installed it and so far so good. if there will be any issues, i'll be the first to jump on the band wagon to complain.\Thanks
