So i am looking to add extra feeling to my videos by adding the shake effect i see in some videos when the bass note hits. For example in " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WkNDgY0PlM " The circle that bounces to the beat between words. Another example is " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwE8RHUhfFY " the way the words bounce and distort to the beat. I have been searching for this for a while now but can only find wave distortions to turn sound into a wave... but not a leyer bounce.
these 2 seem animated by manually keyframing to me.
somethhing about audio to keyframes rather than waves:
but you'd need the plug-in from trapcode for this.
my suggestion would be to do it "by hand", keydframing the animation to the souund.
if it's just a bouncing circle, you're probably faster to keyframe position&size, maybe anchor aswell by feeling than to type endless expressions.
anmd if it's more complex, like the kinetic text example, you have more control over the movement than the Bass and Trebles do.
See this page for resources about using audio levels to drive animation:

You do not need Trapcode SoundKeys to do this, though that plug-in does make some aspects much easier.
