Is there a way to switch off the highlighter / sticky note tool after it has been selected?

Using Adobe Acrobat X desktop when I select the tool to highlight or add a sticky note the cursor remains as the tool. Clicking the tool icon again does not revert back to the normal cursor. Is there some way to cancel the tool once I have finished using it?

Just select any other tool, like the Hand tool.

Thanks for that, the hand tool and selector tool were not displayed on the toolbar, but once I had added them via the options then the problem was resolved.
