I for one like the Raw Filter adjuster with Photoshop 5 better than the one with Photoshop 6...there are more choices for one for adjusting the picture. I like them better than the white and black slides in Photoshop 6 raw filter. I hope the filter is not the finished product in 6. Does anyone else feel this way?
I think Camera Raw 7 is MUCH better than previous versions. The new sliders allow you to bring back/remove much more information, and the updated Clarity adjustment is great for bringing back missing detail. I really don't see any disadvantages to the new version.

Nope, I'm afraid I can't agree with you there, FatherJacob.
Work with the new PV2012 controls for a while (I'm assuming you haven't).
I predict you'll be doing a flipflop. It's sometimes difficult to make a transition into using something slightly different, but once you do and find you're making better images than you've ever made before (as I have, and apparently Howard has), I think you'll be convinced.
I have stopped using CS5 in favor of the beta because of the improvements to ACR.
I always thought Recovery did not do enough of what I wanted. Fill Light tended to affect more than I wanted. Clarity Haloed.
The adaptive mumbo jumbo going on in the new controls and algorithm(s) absolutely kicks A for me in tweaking bad light (high contrast) photos.
