Have been close to a month now and no Bridge? Have uninstalled CS6 again. How can you do a Beta with half the program. Since the Bridge anomally seems to be happening in Windows and Mac, it would seem someone could figure this out.
To recap once more:
OS Mac 10.7.3, PS CS5 is not running, download of CS6 OK, PS CS6 opens OK, Bridge CS6 opens existing Bridge CS5. This is usable with PS CS6 by toggling back and forth But it is Bridge CS5. Under Bridge file associations the opening process does change the CS5 Bridge files to CS6 However a reset and open still generates a Apple crash report to Apple. No report is generated to Adobe?? Then a retry opening Bridge CS6 again sets the CS5 files to 6 but opens Bridge CS5. This is true whether the launch is out of Applications,PS, or Mini Bridge.
So - I would hope this is resolved before the final version comes out?? Will there be a good discount for half a program?
Bridge works fine for most folks.
Do you have Bridge CS5 set to auto-start when your system is started? If so, then an attempt to open Bridge CS6 will just bring forth the version already running.
Check your Bridge preferences and disable that feature. I think it's only there so that when you first start it it comes up a bit faster anyway, and I know I tend to dislike things that just run in the background, taking up resources, just in case you might need them.

Yes but as I stated this produces a crash report, a error message, and won't open. I can launch CS5 but opens with CS6 file association which makes me think that the program somehow is associating the existing CS5 Bridge as the correct one to open? After my CS6 uninstall I notice the CS5 Bridge file settings return to their normal CS5 associations.
Mr. ChunXia Yang, have just downloaded CS6 again. The Beta was dated March 21. This time Bridge opened. I paid special attn. to everything I did for the install on to the hard drive. The only thing that I did different is I said no to the migrate CS5 settings. Previously I had indicated yes. Also I notice on the install process initially the Migrate yes/no box came up and closed in a sec. The box then came back later as I opened PS. So my problem perhaps was in the migrate settings which were done but only allowed for Bridge CS5 to open?? I also launched Bridge out of Applications and haven't tried through Mini Bridge or the PS route yet, but so far it has opened three times and looks ok so far.
If you wish to call me it's ok. 952-546-6383 (MPLS) Central S. Time.

As a follow up on my email to you - all is still working well with the following exceptions: Crop in PS doesn't work. Crop in ACR does work. Crop in PS show the crop but does not actually implement it. The PS view mode shows the new dimensions but the Image size information window still shows the uncropped actual dimensions, as does the bottom tab for file size etc. Any thoughts on this? Also on "Save As" - CS5 when saving out of PS switches to Bridge automatically. CS6 "Save As" moves the file behind the scene but keeps the visual in PS then when a delete is done you end up looking at a blank page and having to toggle over to Bridge for the next file. Additionally mini Bridge isn't allowing for subfolders to show for access. i.e. have a import folder for new pictures under the hard drive main Pictures folder. Picture shows up but not any subfolders underneath??
