I've just started getting the error 16820 when I run Acrobat 9 Pro on my Windows Vista Home Premium. Included are the two screenshots. I reviewed the solution at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4315635#4315635 which recommends deinstalling the Adobe Desktop Application because that is what's causing the problem. However, it doesn't say how to do that and the program isn't listed in control panel.

Good day,
I've addressed this over here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/970444
The short answer is:
The Acrobat.com Desktop Application is no longer supported. We recommend uninstalling the application and accessing Acrobat.com by visiting http://acrobat.com/signin.html
Kind regards,
David
Thank you, I actually did something different. I couldn’t find the desktop application in the control panel so I couldn’t de-install it. however, I repointed my start menu shortcut to acrobat.exe and now I’m fine. Thanks.
