I'm using robohelp 9 and could use some help sorting out my conditional text strategy for a project.
* The project consists of a Pro and Express version
* The Pro version includes all the topics in the project
* The Express version includes a subset of topics from the Pro version
Since all untagged topics are included in a conditional text build, i wonder if i need to do the following:
* tag all topics as "Pro"
* add an additional tag to all express topics as "express"
My build expression will be "include express"
The problem i have with this solution is that i wonder if there is an simplier or easier solution than having to first tag all topics as "pro"
Is there a better way to solve this conditional build issue?
Hi there
I might think it would be easier to simply determine what topics are only part of the Pro version and tag those for exclusion when you create the Express version.

Now why didn't i think of that!?!? Thanks. Sounds like the right answer. i figured i was thinking about it incorrectly. I'll see if it works and come back to the forum with my result.

Yes, I marked the topics that are only part of pro (about a third of the project) and it is working fine. I also discovered that there was a need as well for an express only conditional tag (such as a different screen shot). So, to create the pro version i exclude "express" and to create the express version i exclude "pro". I also set up a variable for the different product names. It is working perfectly fine, thank you.
