"bounce selected clip"

Apr 16, 2012 2:20 AM

This new Multitrack feature - Bounce Selected Clip - will it include the option of extending the range of the new clip?  For instance, if the clip is shorter than the whole session, can the new bounced clip be made as long as the session?

Next question: what are some of the most obvious intended uses of this function?

"Selected Clips" is one of several "Bounce to New Track" options:

Selected Track: Bounce the entire contents of a track to a single clip in a new track.

Time Selection: Bounce content of all tracks within the time selection to a clip in a new track.

Selected Clips in Time Selection: Make a time selection, select or de-select clips, and bounce to a single clip in a new track.  (This may be the option you're asking about.  The generated clip will be the full duration of your time selection and will generate silence or reverb tails if applicable.)

Selected Clips Only: Will bounce content of selected clips to a clip in a new track.  Selected clips may be from any number of tracks and positions on the timeline.
