How to create swatches from opaque colours?

Hi Guys,

I'm sure there is a way but I can't for the life of me remember!

Basically throughout this piece I'm doing I've been using the transparency tool to create the shades of colouring I want...

is there a way to create swatches for them so that they're a solid colour at 100% opacity but they look the same?

because where my vectors overlap, they create a different shade?

Thanks for reading, and hopefully someone can help!

Generally when doing this from scratch, you should create global swatches. Then use the color panel to create a tint: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/illustrator/cs/using/WS714a382cdf7d304e7e0 7d0100196cbc5f-6276a.html
