my printer takes forever to print from photoshop elements 9

my printertakes forever to print from photoshop elements 9 then when it prits the crop is wrong, lots of noise or distortion. It only does this in adobe photoshop elements 9.

    When you are saying the crop is wrong, had you seen the Print preview/ is it different from that ?

    Yes it is different from what I see in print preview. I have been saving the file and picking it up in windows to print its so much faster and predictable. It takes forever to print from p-e. I read somewhere the printer needs to be calibrated for color but shouldn't have anything to do with crop or printing speed' Thanks
