apk files and how they work...

Hi, quick question regarding .apk files. I have an app live on both Andriod and the Apple store, but only available to certain countries. I've had a request from someone outside of these set countries for the app on Android. if I email them the very same .apk file for the app that I uploaded to Google - they should be able to sideload the app themselves and access to the folios within it... right?
