Are annotations available in DRM protected PDFs?

In Acrobat 10.2 app for iPad annotations work fine for non-protected PDFs. For password or DRM protected documents annotations icon is disabled. Is there a way to enable annotations in DRM policy or otherwise protected PDFs?

    Annotation feature is only available for non-protected PDFs. The requested feature is not supported currently.  But stay tuned, as future updates may provide this support.
