Help!! - Editing Fields in Acrobat Standard

Apr 17, 2012 3:55 PM

Hi, I am a relative novice so I apologize if this is a basic question.  I can't find the answer anywhere in "help".  I have a document that was a created in Lifecycle Designer 8.  There is another user outside of our company using Acrobat 9 Standard that needs to edit our document by editing the fields and changing the properties of those fields.  When he tries to edit those fields he is getting an error basically saying that the fields cannot be edited due to security reasons.  I have removed all of the security on the document and he still gets the error messages.  What am I missing????  As an FYI when I go into Acrobat 8 Pro myself I cannot edit the documents.  When I look at the Document Restrictions Summary it says that Changing the Document is not allowed.  I tried to figure out how to change this in Lifecycle Designer but cannot figure it out.

Thank you in advance for suggestions!

Scott

You need to edit the form in LiveCycle Designer. You cannot edit an XFA form in Acrobat.
