Connect Add-In

We have 150 clients using Fedora Linuix. Last month everything worked fine without the add-in installed. Now when users try to enable audio controls it requires the Add-IN to install. Which of course doesn't work. While we attempt to use some the myriad of workarounds thought I'd post this thread. Did something change in Connect that now reauires the Add-In? Why do I need Connect Add-in? We purchased Connect with the understanding that it worked on ALL operating systems.

Enabling the Speex audio codec will force a situation where the add-in is required for all OS's. That is the only thing I can think of that would cause your users to require the add-in.

After further investigation it appears it started to happen when we

connected to an outside phone bridge using an audio profile. Doesn't seem

to me that it should make any difference to the client. Any way to disable

this codec while we are on a VoIP to phone bridge?

By the way we tried to install connectaddin on Ubuntu and were unsuccessful

as well.

In the meeting go to Meeting > Preferences > Audio and uncheck the Speex audio codec.

It wasn't enabled but "Use Enhanced Audio" is. Going to try and uncheck

that and see if it works.

Well, that wasn't it. I unchecked both options and it still requires the

Add-In. Must be something with having an audio profile that is triggering

the add-in requirement.

Try sending the link to your room with /?launcher=false added to the end of the url? That should force the add-in to not be used.

For example: http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com/openroom/?launcher=false

Jorma,

Still looks to require the addin. The link is below, the meeting is up and

running, I've allowed guest access and audio rights for all participants if

you want to connect and see if you have the same result.

Jorma,

Does this UV update have anything to do with our issue?
