Hello All, I am new to BC, I wants to export data into CSV file. Quick response will be appreciated.
Hi suraj_0008!
If needing to export data from your site please create a report (Reports -> Custom Reports) then after generating the report the system will present a series of option to export (pdf, csv, xls) file type.
See the step by step guide below...

Hello Sidney, Thank you for your quick reply, but the solution you have given me worked at only Admin side. I wants to implement the export csv functionality at the client side.
So, that any visitior of my website can come and download data into csv.
There should be definitaly any option for doing that, but I have not find it yet. If you know anysuch thing then please reply me.
Thank you

Oh I see what you are fully after.
We don't have a "front-end" feature for this as the only option would require you to upload the CSV file to the site. Then to use the literature feature so clients can download the CSV file.

Hello Sidney, My feeling is that, there should be definitely a way of doing it. What just I needs to do is to make one server call to any scripting file like AXPS or can say PHP, if it supports.
So, can you please tell me how can I make one create AXPS file in business catalyst and where can I store that file, so that, that file can be accessible once I hit a button for exporting the data.
Hello mario_gudelj,
Thank you for your response. But, if data can be export from Admin side then why we can't do it from the client side. I am accepting that BC won't allow us to write any server side scripts. But here should be definitely a way of exporting data in CSV to the client side.
Thanks
Suraj
Hi Suraj,
We've had this feature before in BC where you were able to create a customer report and publish it inside the secure zone for the logged in customers to download. This feature has been removed. I don't know for which reason. Most likely because it was extremelly underutilised. In any case, you will need to generat those files through reports and publish them on your site.
Cheers,
Mario
