Calculation Issue

Hi,

 

I am new to this, but I am using Adobe Acrobate 9 Pro and I am creating a form. I need to do a calculation for a feild and I am not getting any answers.

The calculation look like below.

 

Total=SUM([text2]*[text43]+[text3]*[text44]+[text4]*[text45])

 

Could I please get some help

    Using the simplified field notation option on the Calculate tab of the calculated field, you could enter:

     

    text2 * text43 + text3 * text 44 + text4 * text45

     

    This assumes you have fields with those names. I think this will perform the calculation that you want, though it's not entirely clear to me how you're using the SUM function.

    The SUM function was research gone wrong,

     

    I tried this in the simplified field optin, but no luck. I wasn't sure if you meant to try as you stated or to still have the = or Total=, I tried all ways with no luck

    No, no equals sign. What I showed should work if those are the exact field names that you're using. If they are something like "Text2" instead, you'll have to correct it.
