Can't save PDFs from Safari or Firefox after latest (10.1.3) update

I just installed the latest update, and now when I open a PDF in Safari, I can't save it to my computer. I get a message saying "The document XXX.pdf could not be exported as XXX." When I try to do it from Firefox, the PDF won't even open. I tried deleting the plugins and reinstalling Reader and that didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi,

     

    What MAC OSX version and safari/Firefox version are you using?

    Also are you able to open PDF in safari and it is just that when you click on the save icon, the problem occurs or are you not able to view PDF in safari?

    I've the same problem.

    I'm using MacOS 10.7.3 and Safari 5.1.5

    I'm able to open a PDF and it is just that when I click on the save icon that the problem occurs.

    I'm on OS 10.6.8 and using Safari 5.1.5 and Firefox 3.6.13.

     

    I can open PDFs in Safari (but not save them), but I can't open them at all in Firefox.

    I have the same problem on Adobe 10.1.3, OS 10.6.8, Preview 5.0.3

    I can open pdf's but not save them. Other files (word/works/powerpoint) are fine. But I think that my computer opens these files with preview, not adobe. I'm not sure though.

    Hi mccradks1,

     

    Regarding firefox, update it to version 10.0 or later and use it in 32-bit mode only.

    To save pdf's in safari, please try using the save button in toolbar and see if it works.

    Toolbar is present in two different forms:

    2. This toolbar appears when you hover the mouse at bottom of pdf screen.

    Hi everybody.

    I have another big problem, apart from not being able to save pdfs.

    I cannot search for words or phrases in any pdf on safari or firefox.

    My safari version is 5.1.5, and my OS is 10.7.3.

    I have just done the adobe update yesterday. Before the update all worked fine..

    Isn't there a way to go back to the old version? I use it for work and I really need it..
