Page order is backward when I save from Microsoft Word.  How do I reverse page order?

I have authored a 53-page official document in Word 2011 for the Mac.  Then I do a Save As, selecting PDF as the Format.  Tlhe resulting PDF starts with page 53 and runs backward to page 1.  I can find no way in Reader to reverse this page order so that the document starts with page 1, as it should.

 

It may be a problem with Word.  Or the problem may lie in the Adobe Reader.  I can't tell whether it's a problem in the Save or in how Reader opens the document.  It's important that I solve this problem,because the document is needed for submission as part of a legal proceeding.

 

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

    Reader is uncapable of creating new PDF files, nor edit existing ones in this way, so the problem is definitely not with it. Probably with the way Word creates the PDF file.
