I have used formcentral as a trial and so far we love it. However, I have several participants who have uploaded photos as attachments and I cannot download them! Every time I select them and choose "download" it closes the program Please help!
Can you tell us what browser and OS you are using (both the name and version please)? Also, can you tell what FP you are using? You can find that by going to this URL - http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/.
Here is the information you asked for. We work for a Purdue University Extension office, so all our operating systems come from them and are constantly being updated.
Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421
The Flash Player is 126.96.36.199
Thank you so much for helping me with this!
Do you have any other browsers installed, such as Chrome or Firefox? If so, can you try one of them and let me know if it works in them?
Also, can you share your form to me so I can test out your specific form? To share a form, you open the form, click on share on the bottom left, then click add collaborators, then enter my email address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Can you tell me if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit IE? According to a Microsoft web page, it says:
To determine the version of Internet Explorer that you are running, click About Internet Explorer on the Help menu of Internet Explorer. If you are running the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer, the About Internet Explorer window includes a 64-bit descriptor label. The 32-bit version of Internet Explorer does not show a bit-level descriptor.
I've tried to reproduce your problem on 32 bit IE, using the same Flash Player version, and so far can not. So maybe it's related to 64 bit IE.
It'd probably say 64 bit, so I think you have 32 bit.
Unfortunately we've tried to reproduce using your exact configuration on a few machines, but can't. So I'm trying to think of other possible causes. Can you tell me, are you using FormsCentral from a corporate network? Is it possible your IT department is blocking the download? Clearly the browser shouldn't just close, and should handle that error properly, but I'm trying to think of possible causes to this.
Also, is it possible for you to install Chrome or FireFox and see if that works?
