InDesign CS 5.5 copy and paste

Hello,

My name is Matt Milbourne, i work for Webberville Community Schools, we have just deployed Adobe InDesign CS 5.5 to about 30 computers in our journalism classroom. We have been having a ongoing issues with the copy cut and paste features in this software. When you try to use them, they are grayed out and do not work. I am hoping to get some help with this so our journalism class will have these tools.

 

The Steps that i have tryed:

 

Delete Prefrences

Uninstall/Reinstall

 

The system we run is:

Windows 7 Enterprise

Adobe CS4 for everything but InDesign

And

Adobe CS5.5 InDesign

    you said you deployed the indesign on 30 computers so this issue is with all the 30 computer or with one computer only?

     

    what is the workflow when you are using the cut, copy and paste?

     

     

    Is your indesign updated to latest version?

    In addition to those questions, do you have large fonts enabled in Windows?

    Yes, all are haveing this issue and all are up to date! and could you explain workflow? i am new to adobe and not sure what you are saying.

    No, large fonts are not enabled

    All are having the same issue that's wierd....

     

    Wokflow means are you using teh keyboard shortcut (ctrl+X) or the Edit-->copy command , what exactly the steps you are following.

     

    Can you also let us know are the Indesign files and the links on the network?

    Also what happen when you create the new file , create the text box , fill it with the placeholder text and then copy it and paste it another document which is also new?

    Also can you check on any one system after disconnecting from teh network..If it works fine or not.

    I am using the keyboard shortcuts and the menus to attempt to. Copy and paste.  No this application is installed on the local computer. The system works fine when disconnected form the network as well.
