Hi All,
I'm working on a Song Selection menu for a concert DVD. I created my DVD menu in Photoshop 5.1 and imported it to Encore 5.1. All of my buttons EXCEPT ONE (let's call it "Song 4") respond properly and have a yellow glow when selected/mouse-over. The one "oddball" button glows grey, rather than yellow. Interestingly, as I was manipulating the menu in Photoshop to try to fix the problem, I managed to completely remove the glow/responsiveness entirely from "Song 4," and the grey glow somehow transferred to "Song 5."
I've tried to copy text layers from song buttons that respond correctly in Encore and apply them to the oddball button, but that hasn't resolved my problem.
Any thoughts on how to get the buttons to glow uniformly? I'm stumped.
Thanks in advance!
Here's the actual problem, in Encore:
Should look like this:
But "I Still Could Be Your Man" glows grey:
Here's a screenshot from PS:
And the expanded views of the correct ("Freedom") and incorrect ("Man") layers in PS (They look the same to me!):
Correct:
Incorrect:
Maybe there's a better way to create buttons for DVD menus that I'm not aware of, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Thanks, Stan. I believe ended up with a + within a + after converting the group to a smart object. Is that my problem? If so, why does it work for 7 of the 8 songs, but not for #4? All of the others seem to be organized that way, too. :-/
Even after removing effects from the highlight layers, I'm still getting the grey glow (instead of yellow) in Encore. Is this an Encore (rather than PS) issue??
I'm not real picky about how the buttons look, but I do want them all to be the same.
