CS6 Photoshop install error

Apr 21, 2012 7:18 AM

I have CS5 Master on my computer.

I downloaded CS6 Photoshop beta.  After downloading, I clicked on set-up.exe in the WINZIP folder.

I get the following error:   Installer failed to initialize.  This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor

to detect the problem.

I downloaded the support advisor but it came up with no problem.

I have downloaded it 2x with the same error message when trying to install.

What else can I try?

Sometimes using a different browser can help.  So if you used IE try Firefox.

Some have also noted problems with the unzip program.  So try another one.

One that has worked well was named in this forum but that was at least a week ago, and I can't remember which one it was.

Here is the post I was trying to recall.

Use a different unzipping application. If I remember correctly, some users were having issues with WinZip. They tried WinRar, and it solved their issue.
