Automation of process

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to automate the conversion process. For example, I get emails from a specific account with a pdf attachment. I can store the attachment to my hard drive, but is there a way to automate sending the PDF to adobe to convert? When you send it back, I have built logic that will take your converted Excel file and process it.

Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Tom

    Tom,

Yes, that makes sense. We don't have this capability today, but I can think of a couple of options:

    • Provide an access point to ExportPDF in your email client. Clicking button in Outlook (for example) sends that attachment to ExportPDF and then gives you Save As dialog (or auto-saves it into folder you designate).
    • Provide an email address (e.g. exportpdf_tfitzpatrick@acrobat.com) where you can forward an attachment and get emailed back an Excel.
    • Maybe something else.

Why don't you create an Idea with how you'd like this to work, and we can consider it for the future? http://forums.adobe.com/community/exportpdf?view=idea
