Linking Multiple Video Segments with Button -Advice on General Approach

Hi,

 

Am looking to create an interactive presentation that consists of a series of videos, linked together with buttons. For example after the first video the user is presented with a choice of 4 buttons. The next video to play is then dependent upon which button the user clicks.

 

Am looking for the switch between videos to be as seamless as possible, what do you think would be the best approach?

 

1. Multiple video files loaded into my project and then using one or more FLVPlayback components to control which one is being played.

 

2. A single long video that has Navigation Cue Points that are then used to move within the video as required.

 

First time doing a project such as this, so would welcome any advice.

    use 1 flvplayback instance and a listener to detect the end of each video whose listener function starts the next video or presents your buttons.

    Thanks - have been looking at this approach, but when I swap the source of the flvplayback I seem to get a single white frame appear before the next video starts, which I can't seem to get rid of. Hence the thought of using cue points in one long video to make the transitions  mjore seamless.

     

    Have you come across this at all?

    yes, you're not going to get seamless play because the videos are downloading as they play.  when you start one, there's going to be a momentary delay before it starts.
