"Too many activations" error

What's the best way to fix this problem?  I've read the boards, watched a YouTube video(outdated) and gone through the online chat with Adobe, which was quite unfulfilling.

    You have to be persistent with the Adobe help function.  They are

    responsible for resetting your activation count - for free.
