Zbrush to Adobe Illustrator

Apr 21, 2012 4:29 PM

Hi, Anyone used zbrush4d here? If so is there a way to import zbrush files to adobe illustrator. I'd like to vectorise the 3d files created in zbrush.

Thanks

What format you might be able to bring it into photoshop which might be more helpful to you.

but if you save your zbrush files as tiffs or Photoshop files  then you might get a clean trace with live trace or other wise you will have to use the pen tool and manually trace.

Umm, no. What do 3D files have to do with AI in the first place? As Wade said, all you can do is render a shot and then trace it, but there is no way to get ZBrush data natively into AI.

What i use to ask my clients to do is save their 3D Cad files as a view in the eps format which enabled be to at least get the view I need they did place in Illustrator as paths but unless they are dumbed down it was very hard to work with them as i found the layers panel was a complete mass of layers and paths to no end.

But that was the best one could i do not know if it works with the more modern CAD applicatioons.
