My photos have all been blacked out!

I've upgraded to LR4 and, on loading my old LR3 catalogue, find that all my photos have turned black.

Photos imported since the upgrade display properly. Any ideas?

The usual culprit is a corrupt monitor profile. Try follwoing the instructions at http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/photos-appear-black-gray-rectangle s.html

Turns out that all my photos got converted to a custom preset. Converting them all back to the default setting has solved the problem. Thanks for your help.
