Valid digital signatures in Windows XP are no longer valid in Windows 7

We have a Windows application that uses axAcroPDF control to display digitally signed and validated forms. The PDF document was displayed correctly (Signed and all signatures are valid ) in Windows XP environment. However, recently our organization switched to Windows 7 machines. The digitally signed PDF documents no longer has valid signatures message. Instead the message "The certification/signature is still being validated" is displayed and it does not get validated. There is an exception "AcroRd32.exe:Access violation reading location 0x00000042"

Could someone help me to resolve this issue?

    What is the ‘axAcroPDF’ control? What version of Reader?

    It is an ActiveX control provided by Adobe Acrobat (AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF) to host a PDF in a windows form application. We are using version 10.1.2.

    Ok. I think I understand you are using the Acrobat SDK. If that's true, you need to go to an SDK/developer forum.
