PDF size increase

  1. I receive a drawing file in pdf, whith many layers. 400 kb approx
  2. I try to print it and Adobe pro flattens the file, but takes ages

 

 

  • I flatten the layers manually but the file size jumps to 40-50 meg
  1. Q: how can I avoid this increased size?
  2. Is the file somehow corrupt?
  3. The file was generated from a CAD program, from a CAD file

 

Can anyone help?
