Hello,
I just noticed that the system variable cpQuizInfoTotalQuestionsPerProject doesn't actually set the number of questions in the project UNTIL the presentation itself actually displays or plays a question slide.
My question is if this is normal behavior, and if so, is there ANY way I can get the value for the total number of questions displayed on the first slide of the presentation, BEFORE an actual question slide is played?
Thanks!
You are correct that this variable only becomes active once you enter the Quiz Scope. This means you can have the variable display correctly on the first slide if you extend the quiz scope to that point. So all you need to do it just place a scored interactive object on that first slide. A button or a click box would do the trick. Perhaps make it necessary for the user to click this button to begin the module.
This works but it doesn't, in that by adding a scored interative object on the first slide simply to return the number of questions that the presentation consists of then returns a false value, in that this button or object is added to the total number of questions, even though it is not an actual question but a button used to simply return the number of questions. Anyways, it's a start I suppose, since I could create an advanced action to calculate the actual number of questions and simply subtract one for this additional object. ![]()
