InDesign CS5.5 Crashes on File Open and Launch

Please help! I'm desperate!

Here is the crash report. Try to open this file and it crashes, they try to re-launch InDesign and it crashes again!

    Are you able to create the new file in the Indesign?

     

    Does it happen with all the file or with one file only?

    Looks liek something to do with your Font Manager - try disabling any fonts or the fonts in it's entiritiy.

    The very first thing you need to try is applying the 7.5.2 update.

    Only this certain file. Other files open fine. In the morning I kept getting Out of Memory Errors, then tried to open this file and it wouldn't.

    I did install 2 fonts yesterday before this occured. I have diabled those fonts, and it still doesn't work.

    Applied the update, and still no. Anyone have any opinions on the Markzware recovery?

    Before you conclude you still have a problem try emptying the inDesign Recovery folder and restart ID. If the recovery data was already corrupt it would continue to crash ID even if the problem is otherwise resolved.

    Remind me how to empty the Recovery Folder? Then I will close ID and restart the whole computer.

    Should be a folder in your user library: Hard Drive/Users/<USER>/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/<Version #>/<Language>/

     

    Move wahtever is in it out, or even the whole folder.

    Whoa, it's Shushobhan! Long time no see!

     

    In any event, that KB doc is not going to help. It is specific to SING crashes, and this is a font-related crash.

    We can say with high confidence that SING problems clearly manifest in crash reports as crashes in the SING and TIN modules, and that's not the case here.

     

    (I think I'm going to edit the original post and move the crash report to pastebin.com).
