Japanese InDesign

Hi,

 

How can I purchase Japanese InDesign outside of Japan?

 

Australia can't sell it to me and have given up and don't even bother to return emails after almost a year of enquiring about this. Japan won't export it to me.

 

For an international company this is ridiculous.

 

We need the Japanese version as it's the only one to support Rubi (isn't it?)

    We're not good at sales questions...have you tried adbecare@adobe.com?

     

    I assume someone can confirm that you can't simply download the Japanese trial version and give it a regular serial number? Honestly I would try that, but I would only give it a 30% chance of working...

     

    You may also find the volume licensing sales staff to be more helpful, even if your volume==1.

    Oh, also, I think you can get rubii outside the J version if you get Harbs' World Tools plugin (or maybe the Pro variant?). Check his web page for details.

    Yes. For J composition, you'd need the Pro version.

    Oh, for that matter, Harbs, can you sell Paul the J version of ID if he wants it?

    (Paul, Harbs is an Adobe Reseller).

    Thanks guys, but I never use plugins as they will eventually break. I emailed adbecare@adobe.com but in typical Adobe style - no reply.

     

    We use the Japanese version but we use it for Chinese as, I think, the Japanese version is the only one that has Rubi. It would be nice if the Japanese version had an English menu option as did the Chinese version of Aldus PageMaker (with Rubi) 100 years ago.
