How can I attach a PDF in an email, using an interactive button in the PDF-document?

I tried to create a form button with the menu action 'attach this PDF in an email'.

This Send.to-action doesn't work with Microsoft.

Does anyone has a solution by implementing a javascript-code for this in the PDF?

If executing that menu action did not work, it's not very likely a script

    would.

What exactly happened when you pressed the button with that action?

Just add a Run a JavaScript action with this code:

    this.mailDoc();

But like I said, I don't think it would work if the menu item didn't work,

since they both do basically the same thing.

Is Outlook set-up as the default email client on your system? Was the file

saved before you tried to email it?

app.mailMsg(true) will create a blank message (only in Acrobat, not in

Reader), but my guess is that wouldn't work for you either.

It's probably a problem with the way Outlook is set up on the machine.

All you have to do is

    • make a button
    • attach the action "submit form"
    • when it asks for the email address just put "mailto:"
    • select PDF that you want returned.
    • then when you press that button it will open an email with the PDF attached
    • you can then fill in your email address
