My source clip frame size is 854 x 480. I don't see and presets of that size in cs5. The closest I can find is 720 x 480 but that cuts too much off the sides. What can I do?
Todd, that really helps, but I'm having a problem with the video studering when I do it that way. If I use the presets there is no studering. I actually have one clip that works the way u said to do it and one that doesn't.
The one that works has these properties:
Type: MPEG Movie
File Size: 31.2 MB
Image Size: 640 x 360
Pixel Depth: 32
Frame Rate: 15.00
Source Audio Format: 44100 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 44100 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Total Duration: 00;03;12;16
Average Data Rate: 165 KB / second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
The one that studers has this properties:
Type: MPEG Movie
File Size: 75.2 MB
Image Size: 854 x 480
Pixel Depth: 32
Frame Rate: 24.00
Source Audio Format: 44100 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 44100 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Total Duration: 00:04:00:01
Average Data Rate: 320 KB / second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
Now, both of those clips work fine playing them in widows media player but when I put them into premiere and use the method u show so that the properties match the source properties one studers and one doesn't.
Help
The studering must be something to do with premier not encodeing it right or something when imported. If I render the file after importing the studering goes away and if I just ignor the studering, do my edit, and then export, the exported file has no studering either.
Thanks for all the help everyone, I learned a bunch of stuff.
