Changed jpegs in camera raw but not changed.

Does one have to run a batch on these? When I open them in preview, they are not adjusted or changed, even though they were altered in camera raw. thanks.

Uh huh...when you open the images in Camera Raw and saved the adjustments, all you saved was Camera Raw metadata (which Preview can't parse). If you want the JPEG images to reflect the parametric adjustments, yes, you must actually process the files and bake those adjustments into the file.

…I wonder does that degrades the jpeg if I start with a jpeg, change look in ACR and then use image processor to make 10 quality jpegs?

Yes, it does.  Every time you save or re-save and close a JPEG, it gets degraded.

If you must start with a JPEG, make changes, and save a JPEG there's no getting around compressing the image data twice.

Most folks can't see a difference when it's done once, but the degradation, especially around sharp bright/dark edges, will add up if done over and over.
