trying to re-install cs2 in new computer after last one died. even though i have photoshop cs5 on new puter, cs2's installer can't find, even when i tell it where to look. also can't find if i put photo 5 or 7 in cd. how can i get installer to find one of them?
Were it only so easy. Installer only gives me 3 choices. Search the cd, the hard drive by itself, or search where I tell it to. Even when I show it where photo cs 5 is on my harddrive it can’t find it. Gives me no option for putting in any other serial numbers. Other suggestions? I set up phone call to adobe help via web and the geniuses never called!
Yea it will never recognize Photoshop CS5 as that product did not exist when CS2 was produced. If you don't have the option to enter your previous version serial number I would recommend contacting our support team. Thanks. Weird thing is I tried to install photo 7, it asked for photo material and said I could put photo5 or later in cd. Did and 7’s installer couldn’t find it! And I know years ago I went from the 5 upgrade to the 7 one.
Yea our support team can override this behavior once they have verified your previous versions. It is in easier for us when your products are registered because then we can just look up the information so you don't have to locate the serial number.
It might still be able to work though. The agent should have gone ahead and walked you through the unlock process. Do you have a case number from your interaction so I can provide feedback to his/her supervisor?
Are you kidding me? Don’t have number. She seemed so sure. Directly stated cs2 was for up to windows xp and I would have to upgrade to cs5.5, to get it a cs that would work on windows 7. Really pissed off. This took a lot of my time and you suggest she was too lazy or ignorant.
Well you may still face technical issues with getting it to work but it sounds like you were able to get to the unlocking loctation.
