iMac X 10.7.3, 3.06 GHz, 8GB Ram, Have triedto download numerous ties and like the foll, hoped for different reuslts. In each instance it 'seems' to perform but when I click <.app there is a long delay, unlike CS 5.5 or Lighroom 4.1, and then a pop up message:
The file "XManConfig<Please uninstall and reinstall the product. If the problem reoccurs conract Adobe Technical support for help and mention error code 16"
Of course, I tried, but, that is not possible for beta products. Even though I have pre-ordered the CS 6 extended, I got stone-walled.
I selected the Configuration File .. another pop-up:
"The file"XManConfig.xml" coul not be opened because it may be damaged or incomplete."
Never had this with any previous Adobe products from LR 1.0 and PSE 3. Windows or Mac.
Would really appreciate help .

Hi. We'll try to get you up and running. What have you done so far? I assume you went to our labs site to download. You downloaded and extracted the files and got icons, but they don't run?
Please give us an indication of what adobe programs you have installed already, what you did to install Photoshop CS6 beta, and what video board you have. We'll see where we can go from there.

Well, hello. Pattie, my first ray of hope. And, whatever you did to your avatar, it looks great!! :-)
I assume you have the post with my computer specs on it .. Two Applecare Senior Advisers have tried to help .. say it is in Adobe config app. Repair Disk and permissions have bee completd. All OK.
I have Lightroom3.6 and 4.1; CS5.5, Bridge CS5 (4.05.11) and CS6 (5.0.0.394); Media Player, Reader 10.1.3.
CS6b folder>PS6.app is also 'showing' in Finder>Applications but obviously isn't functional.
I have screen shots of the Finder and pop-ups which I quoted.

Pattie, along with the other "fools" of the world, I have uninstalled and reinstalled some 10 or 12 times, always hoping for different results.
I have also spent an hour twice with Apple Senior Advisers and we have almost rebuilt an Operating System that apparently had nothing wrong with it.
Something in the configuration file "Seems" to be the problem.
appreciate your help ..

Pattie, I'm back here as a forlorn hope. I was directed to post a NEW topic which I did. Nothing happened and then got message from one of your guys that it had been overlooked but would be forwarded to "enigineers" .. nothing since.
i have said many times I use and greatly appreciate the Adobe products and those individuals with whom I have come in contact; but, getting actual technical help is a totally different story. Talking to a foreign national is useless, worse than useless and grustrating.
I have tried so many tiems and used up so much time trying to install the beta of CS6 including a couple of hours with Senior Apple advisers.
Just drop me a line, private if you wish, and tell me if I can actually expect someone to contact me that could use one of the programs to either observe my monitor and direct me or actually take control of the computer.
PLEASE!!
