We are a Financial Institution and have been experiencing issues where for some reason when our clients try to access some of our publicly published Web Services over https (as an example: https://www.itaintworkingatall.com/console/persistencereport.cfc?wsdl) the website(s) displays the following error message "Error: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated’. We started experiencing these issues recently when we implemented an Extend Validation SSL (EV SSL) Certificate to the Virtual Directory whose web content is been published externally. ColdFusion 8 is the Application Server that houses the web content and IIS delivers / hosts the web content which is then accessible via the Internet. Java Runtime Engine (JRE) powers up the ColdFusion Application. We went as far as contacting GeoTrust (our SSL Provider), they tested our SSL integrity via the GeoTrust SSL Checker and all seems well. They even logged on to the Server running the Website and checked the server Personal, Root and Intermediate Store via the Certificate MMC Snap-in, they mentioned all looks well. The Web Server running IIS 7, the EV SSL & CF 8 runs Windows Server 2008 Datacenter R2 (64 Bit). Can anyone please assist with a solution / steer me in the right direction towards getting it to work error free, without displaying any 'weird errors messages' in the clients' browser(s)? Thank you.
