Hoping someone can help. I just recentlyinstalled a full licensed education version of CS5.5. I was previously running a trial version. I have been trying to export a project, yet everytime I try and export, it crashes at around 2%. I have tried a number of different export formats and have adjusted the codecs to settings that I knew worked in the trial version. It just comes up with an "Unexplained error".
it's driving me nuts as I have to get this file output.
the file I am trying to output is 2 hours and 10 mins long, although I'm pretty sure the length would not cause an issue as it exported fine in the trial version.
has anyone encountered something similar or can anyone please offer a solution or advice.
thank you in advance.
thanks for the reply Jim. I did consider that, but what confused me is that the media is exactly the same as I had in the trial version, (simply deleted trial version and installed full license version). I have managed to load it manually in AME and it seems to be coping. However as per your advice I will go through each file and check in case it has become corrupted during the installation process.

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... a screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing
If you have a red line over the timeline after importing a video and before adding any effects... your project is wrong for your video... read above about codecs
Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

Some really helpful info there, although I discovered that it all has to do with the files i have included from my Red Epic camera, as most of the original shots were from the red MX and the Epic were from our reshoot.
I can now no longer view ANY Epic footage, which leads me to believe that since installing the new version of PP 5.5 (student/teacher version) that something has happened to my 'Red Epic Importer' file.
I tried reinstalling the Red Epic Importer files but for some strange reason it would not allow me to copy and replace the files. I am going to try reverting/installing to the original files, and then reinstalling the newer importer files. Failing this working I may delete the Epic Importer files and start from scracth.
I will report back on if this works or not.
