Hello, Does anyone know if they updated the scrolling lists for mobile applications in the new Flash CS6? I'm talking about the smooth iOS type scroll. Since they have it in Flash Builder i really hope they put it in Flash Professional.
It's possible to use Flex in Flash you know.. Although it runs on a different layer so you'd need to plan for it. Have a read here for an example:

You just need the Flex SDK which is free, here:
Ok, thanks for the info. I'll look into it if I can find the time. Otherwise I'll just stick with Flash Builder for now. The reason I wanted to try the scrolling lists in Flash Professional is because I have a feeling that those apps run faster on mobile devices then apps made with Flash Builder. I'm not sure I'm right but that's the feeling I got from experimenting.
Woooaaaaahhhhhh....... Not at all. Not even close. Flash Builder uses Spark components which are optimized as much as possible. Flash is using mx which isn't at all. I realize CS6 may include some spark but there is absolutely no difference between them even if it does.
Please use Flash Builder. They didn't even upgrade the version in CS6. It does a great job and you'll get optimal performance with mobile best practices. Each AIR SDK update the spark components will probably get faster and faster (hopefully one day utilizing a "Stage3D mode").
Oh=) I'm a bit new to Flash and Flex so thanks for clearing that up=) I've read about the spark and the mx components but I wasn't aware that Flash was using the mx version. That's actually great news because the more I use Flash Builder the more I like it. I was hoping for a version 5 in the new CS6 update but I guess we'll just have to wait for that one.
