auto collapse layers

everytime I save a file it seems to expand layers that have sublayers. is there a way to turn this off? its very annoying when you have a lot of layers. maybe a script that collapses them automatically?

    When you look at your forum post you should also see a box called 'More Like This' (right column).

     

    There you can open related posts including some workarounds.
