when in split view, I can't select one simple image in wysiwyg. It selects the entire div or section

how can I select with more detail?

    Try disabling your CSS.  View > Style Rendering > un-tick Display Styles. 

    You'll see an unstyled HTML page which is often easier to work with.  This won't effect your styles in Live View or Preview.

     

    Alternatively, use a Design-Time Style Sheet.

    Another option is to use the Tag Selector in DW at the bottom of the Design View window, immediately above the Property Inspector.

    thanks but however you need to be in the unstyled HTML page view (see above) for the tag inspector to display a high level of details down to the image
