I was surprised to get a waiting for Bridge CS6 comment that never disappeared even after several minutes. I tried opening Bridge CS6 manually to see if that would help. It did not. Finally, I closed down both Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CS6, waiting a few seconds and then started Bridge CS6 "before" starting Photoshop CS6. That seemed to do the trick. Thus, it appears that the command to open Bridge CS6 from within Photoshop CS6 [why does one need to open Bridge CS6 at all is perplexing] does not work as it should. This is the 64-bit version.
Okay, here is all the other information normally asked:
Running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on an HP 64-bit system with SP 1 installed
206 GB free space on C drive
| System Model | BK170AA-ABA HPE-210y |
8 GB RAM total with 2.70 GB available
ATI Radeon HD 5450 video adapter
I did have Photoshop CS5 on my system but removed it after installing Photoshop CS5 Extended
I have PS CS6 Beta installed.
Yes, I still use Photoshop CS5 Extended
I also have Lightroom 4
i have the same issue. my solution is to end the processes of switchboard, bridge, and cs6 service manager in the task manager, start PS and the mini-bridge populates my images automatically or when i do press launch bridge, it will load properly. if i leave those services on (switchboard never closes on my system unless i kill it) the mini bridge doesn't work
