Cannot get bridge to work in cs6. I am running win 7 64 bit. I would like to try cs6 before purchasing. Can anyone log on and see if they can figure this out? I have tried solutions sugggests in previous posts without any luck.
Not sure what you tried and you need to be more specific on what it means it won't work. Crash, no splash screen, freezes up, or ?
Make sure a previous version is not running the the background. Check in Task Manager Processes tab for Bridge.exe
Have you tried resetting the preferences? Hold down Crtl key and start Bridge.
I was able to install cs6 without difficulty. I can ascess cs6 without difficulty. When I try to use mini bridge it starts to "launch bridge" and freezes there. If I try to lauch bridge by itself, the screen pops up but I have no ability to control the program. I have cleared preferences. In order to close bridge I have to use task manager to end the bridge process. I have checked to see if any other programs are running in the backround--especially bridge for cs5. I still cannot figure out what to do next. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. CS5.5/bridge work flawlessly.
Thank you for your help.
For now forget about mini-birdge. That can be delt with once BRidge works.
Do you get the same result launching Bridge from the icon or launching from photoshop?
When you reset you preferences did you choose all 3 options in the reset window?
When you say "the screen pops up but I have no ability to control the program", what does this mean? Key storkes don't work or ?
For what its worth, bridge is now 64 bit program as seems to work well.
Yes, same results launching bridge thru icon or cs6. I have reset all options in reset window. The bridge screen opens and I have no keyboard or mouse control. The remainder of computer functions work. I'm using 64 bit version. I don't know if this is a problem that will be resolved in the final product. I would like to know that this will work before I upgrade. Again, thank you for your support.
I have been on the CS6 beta forum answering questions for a month. Have not seen this issue before.
Couple of more questions.
Do you have any keyboard control to open edit/preferences/startup scripts?
If we are making no progress will see this can be moved back to CS6 beta froum where all the experts reside.
Sorry again. Seems this is not a good way to set the time for connection...
How about your tomorrow night: EST 9:00pm?
Please connect to http://my.acrobat.com/chxyang when you are ready.

Hi,
We’ve checked your dmp file and found Bridge hangs at Windows code when parsing Windows Library. We suspect something is wrong in your system, and this may also be the reason your system is very slow and Windows Explorer is also very slow when browsing C:.
We have a workaround. Please try to remove or rename the following file, and then launch Bridge again.
C:\Programe Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS6(64bit)\WinFeatures.dll (For Bridge 64 bit)
C:\Programe Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS6\WinFeatures.dll (For Bridge 32 bit)
Please tell me the result.
Thanks!
BR,
Chun Xia
Thank you for your continued support.
I tried you current recommendation and renamed the file in 64 bit version.
Unfortunately, there was no change in the behavior of the program. Just a small
note. Since I have to use task manger to close bridge I notice it shows "*32."
(process) Is this designated for 32 bit?
I'll have someone look into the windows library issue.
