If I have cloud on my laptop say adobe premiere downloaded.
While I'm on the road I don't have internet.
Can I still use adobe premiere?
I took the answer from here for your question
Do I need ongoing Internet access to use my Creative Suite applications?
Because your Creative Suite applications are installed directly on your computer, you will not need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis. However, you will need to be online when you install and license your software, and at least once every 30 days thereafter. The software will alert you when you need to connect to the Internet for a license status check.
Is it possible to know when the licensing check has been done? How to force it? Or is starting the software when online enough to "re-register it" for 30 days (Imagine someone leaving for 25+ days of trekking without the net)
Adobe you need to make this "travelling" usage fool proof. In fact I'd consider adding a mechanism to prepay for additional months to skip internet checks for situation where internet connectivity is unreliable. To PECourtejoie's comment it would be ideal if we could force the licensing check to reset the 30-day clock. I'm using this software professionally, if it happens that I'm on the road and can't use the software for any period of time because of an ill-timed license check, I'm going to be very unhappy.
i have read all the prepred faq's and the seem logical and reasonable. but I see comments from other people about having to verify daily, ever 7 days, if the software has to be verified daily to run on my computer , that's crazy. i see many problems in the support pages, and not a lot of answers. i'm very concerned about subscribing. ihave to have software that works. how long has the creativecloud been a fully released public product?
The software needs to verify the account status every 30 days, if at the 30 day mark if it is unable to verify there is a 7 day grace period before the software quits working. Needing to verify every 7 days is inaccurate. We are working to address issues related to Creative Cloud. There is a trial for Creative Cloud Membership to try out the product before purchase. Creative Cloud Membership became available on May 11th, 2012 .
I have been on subscription for nearly 12 months, and on cloud since it launched (I got migrated automatically). It has only ever done a license check once a month, usually the day after my subscription is due. From time to time, I have not been connected to the internet when it tries to verify my subscription, and it comes up with a window saying I have X days to verify my subscription, but the program suite keeps working anyway. I have never been away from the internet long enough for the grace period to expire.
In my experience, it all works seamlessly. But, if you are not confident about the availability of internet access, you best make alternate arrangements. A feature where you can pay in advance to cover the subscription would be nice, I have no idea if it is available or even in the cards.
I have to sign in more than once every day! I cannot use it without the internet. I can barely use it with signing in continually--I cannot open a pdf without restarting my computer! This has been going on for 2 months with NO help--just lame answers that don't say anything. This thing doesn't work!
