    I don't know why it is but its the below jquery script that is causing the disappearance of your text in IE.

    <script type='text/javascript' src='js/jquery.js'></script>

    if you comment it out (as below) the text appears.

    <!-- <script type='text/javascript' src='js/jquery.js'></script> -->

    I don't know what this script is used for in your page...so you need to investigate if you need it or if there is an alternative. First I would get hold of a clean copy of that script and try again....sometimes when uploading things become corrupt.

    Looking at your site, I just diagnosed that its not the jquery itself. It's the cufon that's creating the issue as I only see the text that you've used cufon on not displaying in IE.

    Try using this script in your <head> tag to disable cufon rendering only for IE and see if it works:

    <!--[if IE]><style type="text/css">cufontext {display: none!important}</style><![endif]-->

    Agreed.

    There was a temporary issue with IE9 and the Cufon script pre-1.09. Cufon would not render at all in IE9 using earlier Cufon scripts.

    Updating the Cufon script to the latest build usually fixes it

    Thought it might be something to do with the cufon...I just didn't have enough time to go through all the scripts and find the real cause of the problem.

    At times like this you really need to go through each one isolating them and see where the real problem lies. Problem is a lot of people stuff their page with a ton of scripts and then check only after the construction is complete. If you use jquery scripts, which are unfamilar to you, you should check each time you add one to the page.

    Some won't work in IE and other will conflict with other scripts already on the page and some elements on the page too. Once you have loaded the page with a significant number, without checking as you go, the process of tracking down the culprit becomes rather tedious and long-winded.

    How can i update the cufon?

    Download the current build to your computer (click the link below)

    http://cufon.shoqolate.com/js/cufon-yui.js?v=1.09i

    Upload it to your server replacing the existing cufon-yui.js file

    Where did you upload the file to? Should be inside the "js" folder.

    I just downloaded http://www.dorff.nl/js/cufon-yui.js and it's still the old version 1.09.

    Should be the current version 1.09i - which is IE9 compatible.

    Yes, it's now working OK here in IE9.
