Capture does not change your footage in any way. The distortion you notice must have been created at an earlier stage, during the shoot or due to imagination or OE.

Hi Harm

1. Playing back the footage on the camcorder didn’t show any problem.

2. Copying the footage to "sony memory recording unit" and then down loading it to the project didn’t show any problem either.

What do you get from it?

The red frame is inserted by PP when frames are dropped during capture.

The mosaic is just a read error, some 'digital noise' often cause by dirty heads.

I have the FX1 and while capturing Premiere will tell you if you dropped frames.

Try and re-capture that part again and see if you get the same results.

if its good then just sync that part up that is bad.

Hi Jim and GLenn

I have captured the same footage once again. This time I checked "abort capture on dropped frames".

0 dropped frames but the same result!

I should emphasize once again, nothing wrong with the original footage!!!

It happened again and again with different materials (not all the time), and most of the time when I use "Scene detect' option.

Only between clips.

Try capturing with HDV split, see if that makes any difference.

You mean using "scene detect"?

If so, using it made it worse.
