Trying to download free trial of craetive suite5.5 and it is stuckin extracting. tried again to download indesign and same thing. I am putting it in the applications file and it creates a folder for it and just the dmg file is in there. when verifying it says the image disc cannot be opened. help!
The selection of the Applications folder is exactly what is causing this difficulty. The Adobe Download Assistant is unable to write the install files to the Applications folder. I would recommend choosing the default location of the User folder or your desktop folder to download the install files too. Once the download is complete you can initiate the installation which will then install the necessary files to your Applications folder.
oh, ok. I did undo the checksums and opened it and then redid the checksums. I had seen that offered as a solution in the faqs. I have downloaded indesign and had tried to do the CS5.5 suite to have photoshop too. can I do the suite if I already have done the indesign? WhenI go back to adobe it still says "extracting" for the suite will it let me go back to place it on the desktop?
thanks for the help, I will know next time.
